Have you ever wondered exactly how your thoughts effect your body?

Everything that happens in your mind; thoughts, feelings, expectations, hopes, fears, desires, guilts, are all tied to the manner in which you occupy your physical vessel. The brain is not designed for accuracy, it’s designed for survival. Our minds can sway our pain because its main goal is to survive, rather than to thrive. We discuss the ways our brain can control our pain and actions through our thoughts. The human body is under no obligation to make sense to us, but we can always try to understand it. The human body is complex, but it’s not complicated.

Dr. Perry is the founder of ‘Stop Chasing Pain’, a podcast that is a resource to help take care of your mind and body, and stop running after pain, and instead get to the root of the problem. He is a master in the world of biomechanics and general healing of the mind and body. Dr. Perry’s strategy with his patients is treating individuals rather than their diagnosis. Every person has a different story, someone who shares the same issue as another, will need a completely different treatment, because they have a completely different past.

When did humans become so far from nature?

I talk with Paul Saladino, the ‘Carnivore MD’ to discuss all things natural living. Society has become so full of right angles, straight roads and crips buildings. Just sitting under a tree and looking at the sky is exactly what we need living in this fast-paced world. We discuss the importance of visual nutrition and getting outside. It wouldn’t be a conversation with the ‘Carnivore MD’ if we didn’t unpack all the goodness of meat-eating, and how it is part of our ancestry.

Dr. Saladino is the leading authority on the science and application of the carnivore diet. He has used this diet to reverse autoimmunity, chronic inflammation and mental health issues in hundreds of patients, many of whom had been told their conditions were untreatable.

He hosts the podcast, Fundamental Health and released his first book in 2020 titled, “The Carnivore Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Optimal Health by Returning to our Ancestral Diet.” We talk about his supplement brand, “Heart and Soil” where he designed supplements based on all the nutrients found in meat.

3:10- Living with Right Angles and Visual Nutrition

06:37- How does someone incorporate a more natural lifestyle?

08:30- What is true health & happiness?

09:48- Navigating Human Origin Behaviors in the Modern World

12:56- The Cultural Direction Since Corona Virus

15:42- Do you think there there is any misinformation in our ancestry?

18:08- The negativity of plant-based living based on human history

25:49- The lack of fiber in ancestral diets

Where in history did ideas of human sexuality change? What was sexually normal in ancient times that is not normal now?

Danielli Bolelli is one of the most fascinating, precise, interesting, historians. You may have seen him on Joe Rogan's podcast, he also hosts both the 'History on Fire' podcast and the "Drunken Taoist' podcast. He is a martial artist and all around a badass.

In this episode of Align, we get into the history of human sexuality. We discuss ancient sexual norms in Rome and Greece, as well as modern day practices. How urbanization has created widespread loneliness, how humans still have the hunter-gatherer mindset, submission, matriarchies and patriarchies, and so much more.

At what point in time between childhood and adulthood did we stop playing? Have we abandoned the child within us? What do we give our freedom to?

In this episode of the Align Podcast, Tony Riddle and I chat about play and imagination's place in adulthood. When most of us look back to our childhood, we remember wanting to be older and wanting to abandon the child in us. And once we finally go through the rite of passage of becoming an adult, a lot of us continue to push the child within us away because we tend to associate our childhood with being vulnerable. However, those times where we were the most imaginative and most playful in our lives are what helped us learn and grow into who we are today. Therefore, going back to that state of play and imagination can only help us further develop ourselves.

Plus, Tony talks about how fragile freedom is. In today’s world, we tend to develop materialistic tendencies that cause us to become attached to things. While we may think it is the material things that are taking our freedom away, it is actually the superficial attachment that we develop towards those things which causes us to lose our freedom. However, we do have the power to decide what we allow ourselves to be attached to, meaning that we can control what we value and give our freedom to.

Tony Riddle, also known as The Natural Lifestylist, is a natural lifestyle coach, father, husband, author, and record-breaking barefoot endurance athlete. Tony is attempting to run the entire length of Great Britain, barefoot.
